Good News: Dementia Rates Decline Sharply Among Senior Citizens Falling from 11.6% in 2000 to 8.8% in 2012
The new research confirms the results of several other studies that also have found steady declines in dementia rates in the United States and Europe. "We were surprised that so many students at Cal had a need for a place to spend Thanksgiving and to eat a traditional holiday meal at a time when the rest of us can be with family and eat more than we should," said Gary Kohler, director of sales and marketing for Hotel Durant and Henry’s, who estimated that it cost $12,000 to provide staffing and food for the students and volunteers.
